A strong three-dimensional elliptical strong. sinusoidal turbulent motion will be generated. 

  
Due to the presence between coarse and fine particles, the difference in particle size is affected by different centrifugal force, centripetal buoyancy, fluid drag and etc. Due to centrifugal sedimentation, most of the coarse particles pass through the cyclone underflow opening.

And most of the fine particles will be dis-charged by the overflow pipe, which will achieve the goal of separation and classification.
